The Owl is not what it seems

Owl with spanner legs welded to a pole.

I made this owl after finding some rusting steel on wasteland. I welded him to a pole to keep an eye on the place. I never returned and never saw the owl again.

Temporary Autonomous Dolls House

Cut-outs for the Random Artists Dolls House installation, originally created for The National Gallery of Prague.

The installation also did a UK tour of TAA events.

Temporary Autonomous Art, London

In keeping with the temporary and random nature of TAA, I didn’t quite know what my contribution to this event would be. Wall space and time was rapidly running out when I spotted an old clock in the corner.

Having previously made a miniature Clockhead for the TAA Dolls house, it seemed just right to create a large version for the TAA warehouse.

We Are On TV

Once upon a time old-school TVs littered the streets of London. With omnipresent marker pen in pocket and Evil Edna on my mind I could never resist them.

The photograph showing three televisions has been included in ‘Savage Messiah’ by Laura Oldfield-Ford, published by Verso books (2011).
